3D printing

A new company Shapeways is opening up to make small 20cm×25cm×33cm plastic objects based on a 3D modelling or CAD file. They hope to be able to make items upto 91cm×61cmx91cm in the future.

Using a range of different materials and techniques they can produce some quite detailed models.

Shapeways are focused at providing this technology to the consumers rather than corporations so your order for 3 widgets is just as important to them. This would have been just the thing for my friend’s roller blind spindle which I made from wood for him.
